Squidoo Halloween Lenses

Just wanted to share my results with my Squidoo Halloween lenses for 2012.  I have been a member of Squidoo for over  6 years.  I joined when they were still in beta before they made payouts.  Because of this, I never got tier 1 payments for my lens which hit #2 on the entire site!  Unfortunate for me, but gratefully I now know how to harness the power of Squidoo to make sales through Amazon and other affiliate networks.  Before this year, I had one Halloween Squidoo lens which was pretty pathetic.  It was so bad, I didn't even update it to take it out of WIP.  Instead, I bought two from some lensmasters.  I then created some to see if what I learned would work.

These are the lenses that I bought:

Kids Freddy Krueger Costume
Kids Fairy Costumes

These are the lenses I created:

Werewolf Costumes Kids
Zombie Costumes for Kids
Firefighter Costumes for Children
Halloween Zombie Lawn Decor
Buzz Lightyear Halloween Costume
Brave Princess Costume for Kids
Hello Kitty Costumes Kids
Spiderman Costumes for Boys
Monster High Costumes for Kids

I am happy to say, I am glad that I took the time to make these few lenses.  I had a lot of sales, which is amazing since these lenses were new.  As soon as I get this month's payouts, I will be back to post the totals.   (Many of the sales were through my personal Amazon affiliate links, so I will have to add those up separately).  By the way, I just made another sale from one of my costume lenses.  Pretty incredible, since it's November 13, 2012!

What did I learn from my Halloween themed Squidoo lens building experiment?
It pays to set aside some time to create seasonal lenses.  Evergreen content is the way to increase sales, by taking the slow and steady path.  If you want to make some quick money from those last minute shoppers, make a few seasonal lenses.  When you use the right keywords, it will payoff quickly.
